Little Free Libraries

The Lafayette County and Oxford Public Library has teamed up with the University of Mississippi Center for Excellence in Literacy Instruction and the LOU Reads Coalition to install six new Little Free Libraries in Lafayette County. Afterschool Alliance

The Afterschool Alliance has a variety of information about the facts and research regarding the importance of afterschool programming for youth.

The Early Years Network

The Early Years Network offers free training throughout Mississippi, many of which are focused on Out of School Time issues.

Exploratorium

The Expolratorium is an virtual science center complete with exhibits, interactive tools and modules, as well as science projects to do at your site.  

Freshbrain.org

Freshbrain.org offers an online summer camp focused on multi media development and production including application development, graphic design, music mixing, and robotics.

National Summer Learning Association

The National Summer Learning Association has information on the importance of summer learning and enrichment and a number of tools to support summer programming.

Playworks

Playworks offers information about how to make the most out of recess and how to use recess to strengthen students’ social and emotional skills. The Playworks mission is to improve the health and well-being of children by increasing opportunities for physical activity and safe, meaningful play.
